How to Fix Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Rooting Problem for Galaxy S3/S4/Note 2/3

After updating Samsung galaxy S3/S4/Note 2/ Note 3 to Android 4.3 jelly bean update which contains the new security from Samsung "Samaung KNOX", you might face a problem if you tried to root your device by using CF-Auto-Root method or other methods.

This might happened because of KNOX security, it block/disable SuperSu app and you will see this notification after the first boot.
"Unfortunately, SuperSU has stopped" 
"Unauthorized access to a secured area has been blocked"
In some cases you will not see SuperSU after rooting in your application list
You can enable it by going to Settings / More / Application manager, Swipe to DISABLED tab and Enable SuperSU app.

How to fix KNOX problem :
1. Go to Google Play, Search and update/install SuperSU app
2. When you will open SuperSU for the first time it will ask you to update the SU binary
3. Tap on "Continue" then "Normal" not the "CWM/TRP".
4. SuperSU will detect Samsung KNOX security and will ask you to disable KNOX, Choose "OK"
5. After displaying "installation success!", reboot your device.
Done !
Now SuperSU and root access should be working fine for you.

How to fix "Unfortunately, SuperSU has stopped"

Download and install the latest APK for SuperSU like MrW0lf suggested.
I was having the same exact problem (unfortunately, SuperSU has stopped), so I downloaded the latest UPDATE-SuperSU file and extract it to have supersu APK, put it on my SD card in my phone and installed it from there.
It was strange because the version that was already on my phone was the same 1.89 version that I downloaded, but regardless, when I clicked on the APK, it saw it as an update, it asked to disabled knox, and worked like a charm.

This rooting method is working for a wide range of Android device (not only Samsung), it can also root devices which are running Android 4.2

Requirements :
  • Samsung galaxy device or other
  • USB cable
  • Windows or Mac PC
  • Rooting tool
Before starting :
  • Download and install USB driver of your device
  • Download and unzip Saferoot tool
  • Put your device in "USB debugging" mode (Settings > Developer options)
  • Backup your data just in case of this process corrupt your data
Steps :
  • Open "run.bat" or "install.bat"
  • Connect your device to PC via USB cable
  • Accept when your device display "Allow USB debugging" message
  • Follow the instructions 
  • After finishing root process, go to play store and update SuperSU

How to One Click Unlock Bootloader + Root Google Nexus 5 [CF-Auto-Root]

Rooting your Nexus 5 phone by CF-Auto-Root method is the quickest and easiest way for gaining full root permissions on the device.
CF-Auto-Root does not include a custom kernel, it will keep your nexus 5 as close to stock as possible with root access.

Requirements :
  • Google nexus 5
  • Extracted CF-Auto-Root file.
  • Installed Google USB driver.
  • Windows PC.
Steps :
  • Backup all data before starting rooting process, it will wipe all your data.
  • Turn off your nexus 5 and put it into fastboot mode (power + vol down) buttons.
  • Double click "root-windows.bat" for windows and press any key on your computer's keyboard to continue.
  • Connect your device to PC via USB cable (wait until your PC detect it).
  • Press vol up to choose "unlock bootloader", then power button to confirm.
  • Your nexus 5 will erase the data, then reboot into a screen which display a red Android logo.
  • Wait a few minutes until your device finish configuration.
  • You will see SuperSU app in your device app drawer
Done !

  • This process will void your device's warranty
  • CF-Auto-Root method will unlock bootloader, install SuperSU and binary, NO custom recovery.

How to install USB driver for Nexus phones ...
- Download and unzip the downloaded driver file "latest_usb_driver_windows.zip".
- Connect your nexus to PC
- Right click on my computer and choose "Manage"
- Click on "Device Manager" and you should see your device name, right click on it and choose "Update Driver Software..."
- Browse your computer for the extracted folder "usb_driver".

How to Remove/Replace Kingroot (KingUser) with SuperSu

If you was one of those who root their devices by using KingRoot App and would like to remove kinguser and related files, you can replace it with the well known SuperSU.
I have made a small script to remove Chinese kingruser, all related files and folders, and install SuperSU.
This script will do all the work for you without using PC, just by terminal, first of all, thanks to chainfire for his SuperSU files.

Before starting :
  • Download and install Terminal emulator app
  • Download and unzip "Replace_Kingroot_With_SuperSU.zip" file
Steps :
  • Send the extracted folder "mrw" to the internal storage of your device and make sure that this folder contains 4 files
  • Open Terminal emulator and type :
Su
  • Allow root permission
  • Type :
sh /sdcard/mrw/root.sh
  • It might display some error, at the end it will launch supersu or open supersu manually.
  • Update su binary normal, then reboot.
Done !
Notes :
  • The extracted folder must be in /Phone/ or you will need to change cmd.
  • This script must work for all devices waiting tester.
  • You might need to update SuperSu after rebooting your device. 
  • Please let me know the model of your device, if it worked for you.

TowelRoot Samsung Galaxy S4/S5 and Note 3 on Android 4.4.2 NF or Later

TowelRoot is the best app to root more Samsung Galaxy devices whice are running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat but after upgrading to NF update TowelRoot will not root your phone anymore because Samsung has been patched the kernel in the latest update.
By using this guide I will help you to root the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5 or Galaxy Note 3 on NF update or later on 4.4.2 KitKat.

Requirements :
  • Charged Samsung galaxy S4, galaxy S5, galaxy Note 3 running on NF update or later.
  • Kernel files
  • Odin3 (any version).
  • Installed Samsung Kies or Samsung mobile USB driver.
  • TowelRoot Apk by Geohot
  • Read notes before starting please.
Instructions :
  1. This process WON'T wipe your data, but backup your phone just in case this process corrupt your data.
  2. Download then unzip your phone kernel files.
  3. Flash Model_ROOT_Kernel.tar.md5 file using odin3 in PDA or AP section.
  4. Make sure Re-Partition is NOT selected.
    After your device boot up 
  5. Root your device using TowelRoot method by following this guide : [1-Click Root] Galaxy S4/S5/Note 3 Using TowelRoot Method
  6. Make sure your phone is rooted ...
  7. Flash back the specific kernel for your phone build number using Odin3 in PDA or AP section.
Congratulation, your phone is rooted on the latest update without tripping binary or KNOX counter.
This video was made for Galaxy S5 but it's exactly the same steps for Galaxy S4 and Note 3
Notes:
  • Use this guide at your own risk.
  • Please make sure you download the specific kernel files for your phone model number.
  • If your device stuck in bootloop after flashing the ROOT kernel, wipe cache/dalvik from recovery mode will fix it.
  • This will not trip binary or KNOX counter, but it might change system status to custom.
  • To unroot your device --> Open SuperSU app / Settings / Full UnRoot then flash stock FW
  • The following models are the only supported devices till now.
  • After flashing ROOT kennel, you might face more force close (its normal), so that its better to disable S Health before flashing ROOT kernel (you can enable it after flashing your system kernel)
  • WiFi will not work also after flashing ROOT kernel, but you can fix it after rooting by flashing your system kernel.
  • For #SprintGalaxyS4 #L720, #TMobileGalaxyS4 #M919, #Verizon_Galaxy_S4_Mini #I435 use the following steps :
    - Open #TowelRoot_v3 and tap 3 times on "welcome to towelroot v3" a new field will appear
    - Change the value from : 1337 0 1 0 4 0
    to : 1337 0 1 7380 4 0
    - Now click "make it ra1n"

How to Root Verizon Galaxy S3 "SCH-I353" on Android 4.3 "NC1" update

More users after updating their Verizon galaxy S3 SCH-I535 to the latest I535VZWCNC1 update, they lost the ability to root their phone by using SafeRoot method, which was completely safe, easy and it doesn't trip KNOX nor binary counter.
I have found a way to root NC1 update by using "SafeRoot" again on the latest android 4.3 jelly bean like any other devices without unlocking bootloader.

Requirements :
  • I535_Root_Kernel file
  • I535_NC1_Kernel file
  • Odin3 any, version
  • Installed Samsung Kies or Samsung mobile USB driver
  • Saferoot tool file
Instructions :
  1. This process WON'T wipe your data, but backup your phone just in case this process corrupt your data. 
  2. Flash I535_ROOT_Kernel.tar.md5 file by odin3 in PDA or AP section.
  3. Make sure Re-Partition is NOT selected.
  4. Root your device using SafeRoot method by following this guide : [No Warranty Void] Safe Root Android 4.3 for Galaxy S3/S4 Note 2
  5. Make sure your phone is rooted by trying App which require root permission.
  6. Flash back NC1 kernel by Odin3.

This video was made for GT-I9300 but it's exactly the same steps for SCH-I535

Samsung has blocked rooting the international version of the galaxy S3 GT-I9300 by using SafeRoot method, which was completely safe, easy and it doesn't void the warranty of the phone nor trip flash (binary) counter.
I have found a way to make "SafeRoot" root the galaxy S3 GT-I9300 on the latest android 4.3 jelly bean like any other devices.

Requirements :
  • I9300_Root_Kernel file
  • I9300_MK6_Kernel file
  • Odin3
  • Installed Samsung Kies or Samsung mobile USB driver
  • Saferoot file
Instructions :
  1. All the process WON'T wipe your data, but back it up just incase this process corrupt your data.
  2. Flash Root_Kernel.tar.md5 file by odin3 in PDA or AP section.
  3. Make sure Re-Partition is NOT selected.

  5. Flash back the current kernel of your firmware MK6 until Samsung update it by Odin3

How to Root Samsung Galaxy S4 [CF-Auto-Root]

Root Samsung galaxy S4
CF Auto Root is one of the easiest rooting methods for many Samsung galaxy S4 models 
International, US Cellular, T-Mobile, Sprint, Canadian and LTE (GT-I9500, GT-I9505, SGH-I337M, SGH-M919, SCH-R970, SPH-L720, and many versions of Samsung devices)
By using this method, you can root your galaxy S4 which is running on Android 4.2.2 or 4.3 jelly bean

Rooting instructions :
Backup your data first
1- Visit autoroot.chainfire and Download "CF-Auto-Root" file (Make sure that you have been chosen the correct file for your device model)

2 - Unzip the downloaded file ONLY one time
3 - Run Odin as administrator
4 - Click on PDA button and browse to "CF-Auto-Root-....tar.md5" file that you extracted

5 - Disconnect any device connected to USB ports on your computer and disable your antivirus software
6 - Shut down your device
7 - Put your device into Download Mode (Volume Down + Home + Power)
8 - Volume up to continue
Samsung galaxy S4 Download Mode
9 - Connect the device to your computer by USB cable and wait until you get a sign in Odin (ID:COM section) and "Added" in message.
(If you don't get any sign, then you need to download and install Samsung Kies or Samsung mobile driver)
10 - Make sure re-partition is NOT TICKED [Very important] (Only if you use another ver of Odin)
11 - Click "Start" and wait a few seconds.

Rooting instructions :
Backup your data first
1- Download CF-Root-SGS3 file (Link below)
2- Unzip the downloaded file only one time
3- Open "Odin3" as administrator
4- Click on PDA button and browse to the CF-Root-SGS3-vX.X.tar file that you extracted

5 - Disconnect any device connected to USB ports on your computer and disable your antivirus software
6 - Shut down your device
7 - Put your device into Download Mode (Volume Down + Home + Power)
8 - Volume up to continue

9 - Connect the device to your computer by USB cable and wait until you get a sign in Odin (ID:COM section) and "Added" in message
10 - Make sure re-partition is NOT TICKED [Very important]
